Over half way there!!!!

I have been really bad about updating this blog so I am posting a lot into a couple of posts to get everyone up to speed.

It seems like this pregnancy is flying by so fast, but as everyone keeps telling me that the last month will take forever.  I consider myself lucky on how easy I have had it so far.  I have had no morning sickness, no heartburn, no major cravings besides ice cream and not too much weight gain.  It wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that this pregnancy started feeling more like I have a baby in there.  I have been feeling her kick (good kicks, not the fluttering feeling) for the past week.  My belly is now getting bigger and the back pain has started to kick in. Oh and my brain is completely gone and I can hardly talk most of the time, just ask Ryan.

I had my normal OB appointment last Thursday and she said everything is good.  I had gained 4 pounds since the last appointment.  I was a little surprised because Ava has a sweet tooth and she wants ice cream everyday and for lunch she wants In N Out or Culvers.  She is very picky...haha.  Maybe it is just my excuse to eat that kind of food all the time!!!  Let's just say that drumsticks are one of my favorites right now.  I go back in another 4 weeks and do the whole 5 minute appointment again.  It always makes me feel better to hear Ava's heartbeat at the appointments.

So far, little Miss Ava is a very healthy girl and so is her mama.  We just hope and pray that we stay this way and the pregnancy continues to be as perfect as it has been.  Only 4 more short months until we get to meet Ava!!!  Below is a belly picture of me at 21 1/2 weeks.

We are having a sweet little girl!!!!!

Time finally came to find out the gender of our little baby.  I have anxiously been waiting and this whole time, I had a feeling we were having a little boy.  My parents flew out here to be with me on the very special ultrasound.  It was so great to have them here and for them to see their little grandbaby.

My appointment was on July 8th in the morning and I absolutely love Sherri, the ultrasound lady.  She explained everything and checked out our baby to make sure everything checked out good.  She made us wait until the end to find out and then we had to guess. Finally, she pushed around on my tummy to get the baby in position to find out.  The baby is in position and I was guessing a girl, but Sherri wasn't saying anything.  Finally, the words came out of her mouth.."you are right..it's a girl."  She wanted to be sure so she was looking at all angles.  I think I was in shock because ultimately that is what we wanted, but would have been super escatic either way.  So I get my sweet baby girl and I cannot wait to meet her.  She is very healthy and weighed in at 12 oz with a heartbeat of 143.  At the appointment, I was exactly 20 weeks and 3 days.

This is the best profile picture of Little Miss Ava, still working on her middle name.  Most of the appointment, she kept her hands by her face so it was hard to get a good profile.  She is already stubborn like her mama and daddy.

One down....two more to go!!!

Well,  I am officially done with my first trimester and I have to say that I am one of those lucky women that had no morning sickness at all!!!!  I am very thankful for that and I hope it keeps going as smoothly as it has so far.  This is now the end of my 15th week and I have hardly gained any weight...I do have a bit of a belly.  As Ryan said..."honey, it looks like your pregnant now and not fat."  Thanks honey because that made me feel a whole lot better.

Yesterday,  I went to my second official OB appointment and it was literally 5 minutes long.   I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat again, which always makes me happy and a little teary eyed at the same time.  I have one more OB appointment before the ultrasound on July 8.  Ryan and I are both excited to find out if we will be having a boy or girl.  It is like Christmas and having to wait to open all the presents except the present is waiting to find out if this little peanut is a boy or girl.  I did do a few of the wives tale quizzes and all of them so far say girl.  One of the questions was if I am craving sweet or salty and that was an easy one.  I want anything sweet these days!!! Ryan and I both are leaning towards a girl, but as long as the baby is healthy is all that matters to us.

We also did the tour of the hospital this last weekend of where the baby will be born. He or she will be born at Banner Desert in Mesa, AZ.   It wasn't the closest, but it is by far one of the best.  It was exciting and a little scary at the same time.  The staff was so great and helpful with all of my questions.

Here is a belly picture that was taken a couple weeks ago.  My mom keeps asking for one so I finally took it. It is a tad bit bigger now, but not too much.

Those are all the updates I have so far. We are all healthy and doing good!!!!

Our first baby picture.....

This was from our ultrasound at 9 weeks.  He/she looks like a little peanut.  As the doctor stated that our baby is like a bat hanging upside down.  So we will see how he/she is situated in July at the next ultrasound.

The journey begins...

I decided with so much family so far away that it was a good idea to start a blog to keep everyone updated on our journey to meet little baby Kraemer.  I am now on my 12th week of pregnancy and I feel very lucky to have only been hit with the fatigue and emotional side of the first trimester.  Poor Ryan gets the rath of my emotional side.  All he has to do is get me ice cream and I am a happy woman.  I am due on November 21, 2011.  Ryan and I had the first ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and we got to see our "little peanut" for the first time and hear his/her heartbeat.  I say "little peanut" because I don't know how many people commented on the ultrasound that he/she looked like a peanut.  We had our second doctor's appointment last week and we got to hear the heartbeat again.  The little peanut is already stubborn and only let us hear his/her heartbeat for a few seconds.  We go for our next appointment in a few weeks and beginning of July, we will find out if the little peanut is a boy or girl.  We are so excited to find out and I am super excited that my mom and dad are making the trip out to be with me at the ultrasound.  The boys are also super excited to be big brothers and they can't wait to meet their brother or sister.  That is all I have for now, but I will try to keep everyone as updated as possible on our journey!!  I will post pictures later too of my growing belly!!
